Billy Shake is a Boston based rock & roll band grounded in alt-roots rock with a twist of Americana and hard rock. Reminiscent of the vocal styling of Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler, and Lou Reed, Billy Shake delivers powerful honest music with colorful and expressive lyrics.

Billy Shake, made up of singer/songwriter George Simpson; drummer Joe Caruso; bassist Bruce Mahar; and guitarists Ken Sparrow and Dan DelSignore hail from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Playing mostly originals, they have performed shows and open mic nights throughout the greater Boston area.

In the studio, chief singer/songwriter George Simpson has teamed up with multi-instrumentalist producer/singer/songwriter Steve Mesropian (musicmez.com) to create the latest Billy Shake release, “Crashing Down”, a follow up to the band’s 2008 debut “Look Away”. Several songs on the new release were also co-written by local favorite, Brian Maes (RTZ, Ernie & The Automatics, Peter Wolf).
